It was exactly for this reason (financial) that the rule change was brought in. Farnborough's ground only held 4,900 so the bean counters correctly calculated that their share (25%) of Arsenal's gate was better.

The FA in its wisdom said that was against the spirit of the game.
 
Carlisle would be so much better. Bigger allocation & dead easy to get to. The train station is 5 minutes walk from the ground & there's plenty of trains.

Yeovil, on the other hand, is a tiny allocation and you can't get there by any public transport there & back in the same day. It's either a coach or an overnight stay. Last train from Yeovil to Liverpool leaves at 16:38.

Either way, some of you get a day on an open terrace. We would be likely to give you 1000 tickets for the aptly named Waterworks end (open terrace behind the goal, very rarely open) and 1800 seats in the East Stand (modern all-seater) stand. The latter seats are conducive to a decent atmosphere, and some good natured banter with the local wildlife.

Looking likely that Brunton Park will reopen on the 23rd for the game against York City. IF we get past Yeovil, I'd expect an 18000 capacity crowd for the 4th round. Last time we filled the stadium was back in 2007 for a league 1 clash with Leeds. Would be nice to see the stadium full again!

Been a few times to watch them play York. It really is a cracking little ground, dead easy to get to and easy parking. Carlisle town centre itself is an absolute toilet and is best avoided.
 

Carlisle.I go to the odd Carlisle match. Not a bad little ground. Everton would get quite a good number of tickets and they would be decent seats.

I remember some of the cheeky gets when they came to Goodison in 2010 being disappointed because they wanted to draw a "big team".

Really doubt it would be played at Goodison. FA Cup games involving league teams very rarely get switched. That's usually reserved for a non-league team who have a very small ground that couldn't cope. Carlisle have an 18000 capacity ground (7000 bigger than Bournemouth!). Carlisle played Yeovil in the cup on Sunday and they didn't switch the game to Yeovil, they just played it at Blackpool where Carlisle have been playing some of their 'home' games since the floods. Plus Carlisle's own ground has just had a new pitch laid this week and their website reckons it will open again for their home league game vs York on Jan 23, a week before the 4th round is due to be played.
