anybody seen the stats from todays game though. cardiff had 2 shots on target in the whole game at home to boro and still won 1-0. boro - 19 shots and 58% possession, long journey back after being so dissapointed at that i guess

Not really.

They've come in and bought a club that was making no money, and are making what they think are the right business moves to start making money. The reality is that since they've changed to the red home strip there has not been a noticeable drop in attendances and the Cardiff supporters i know still go to the game, they just buy the away strip which is the same blue as the home kit has always been.

Changing the kit is extreme but it's hardly 'abuse' of money, they rescued the club and can do what they please with it within reason. It's not like they've changed the name to FC Welsh Dragon Stars.

And the Everton argument doesn't really stand up, because the kit colour has a much deeper history which goes hand in hand with the rivalry with Liverpool. A lot of Cardiff fans were in favour of the change if it increased the profitability of the club and meant it could survive in the long term.

The Everton argument does not have to be exclusively red. Any colour will do. Let's say a new owner has a green coloured airline. Everton are bought out on the condition we change our home colours to match the airline.

Would Evertonians go for this?

it's funny, such a scummy club deserve it. to be fair, red has brought them good luck because their now top instead of bottling it in their traditional blue. explains why the RS always get lucky and we always bottle it

Tan has offered Cardiff fans a meeting tomorrow to discuss the colour change, badge, and finances. Apparently if the fans want the club changed back to blue they will have to self fund the club going forward. Crazy owner, imagine if this was us.
