I just hope you're right. They want to come at us all guns blazing? We should steam the living **** out of them, make the scared. I want to see Fellaini throwing elbows, Neville and Cahill diving into tackles, give them a fight, moan and argue and whinge like they're going to do. I want blood sweat and tears from Everton. Not a team already beaten before we step out.

Its a final that needs grit. I want to see atleast a player skermish around the reff instigated by Cahill. Just seeing what happened after the CL game makes me more determined for the club to upset the hell out of them.

But I can just see us sitting off, letting them play, hoofing it forward, being played off the park. Plenty of hussle and work but nothing out of it. That's what the pudits and commentators expect. I want at half time Andy effing Townsend to be shocked and say "Everton have completely out muscled Chelsea. They may have not created anything clear cut but Chelsea havent gotten near the 18 yard box once." proper Dogs of War stuff. I want us to think that its the RS we're playing.

Posted via Mobile Device Great post KB, that's the fighting spirit we want to hear around here, i'm as guilty as most on this forum of grabbing at any straw and looking for the slightest advantage but that's only normal i think as it's been 14 long years since we won anything and the desparation to finally see the mighty blues get back to where we belong is maybe clouding our minds to the fact that we dont need any advantage as we are more than capable on our day of beating anybody. The points you made just sum it up really. Either way you slice it, Chelsea will be up for the final. If they went to Rome and won, they'd play with guile. They lost at Rome, they'd play with pride to win something. But now we're on a level playing field in terms of preporation and time till the final

Both teams now want it. I just want us to want it more because there's 3 inches of dust in the trophy cabinet, where as Chelski have tasted glory for a few years. The players should feel its fate and our turn.

Posted via Mobile Device Agreed, with the run we've had in this cup you've just got to believe that our name is on it, something inside me is telling me we cant possibly have come this far and have nothing to show for it.

Why are we worrying about the fact that Chelsea will be gunho for the final? Were we expecting less than that or something?

If we cant beat em as they are and rely on what they do outside of the final, then we really arent good enough to beat them.

Its a one off game. We'll be up for it as much as they are. They players will and should give 120% and play till their knees collapse on them. For the last few seasons we tend to have close results against them - defeats by the odd goal or draw.

To win cups you've gotta play the big teams. Even if they got to the CL final, people thinking that Chelsea will just roll over for the FA Cup would be wrong IMO.

I think its wrong and terrible for Pip to come out and say it to be fair. He's made us seem like we're scared now. Ballack says they're eager for silverware now? So ******* what? So are we. They'll be well prepared? So will we.

He should've said - they'll be focused on us now, like we're focused on them. We've been preparing for the toughest game of the last 14 odd years for the club and we'll give it everything. Rather than - oh well, they'll be gunning for us now, I'm scared.

Its pissed me off to be fair. Just admit defeat now then Phil against the big scary Chelsea machine.

Exactly. Half of their players getting broken legs would no doubt help our cause but I'm not going to cheer should such a thing happen. We'll beat them regardless of how many games they have to play prior to the final.

Personally I think this will work in our advantage.

Chelsea will be playing like a bunch of broken men.

Hiddink already has his bags packed as he failed in what he wanted, Anelka is a lazy fecker anyway and can be marked out of game. Drogba will be eyeing up his next club, Lampard will be debating whether to finally head to Spain or Italy, to be honest, most of the players will be thinking what to do next and where to go on holiday. This is small fry for them.

They will be playing the game like it a cheap second best and have no hunger. A hell of a lot better than bouncing into Wembley as European Chamions with no pressure to show themselves off in front of their fans.

Our lads will be going out there with a "once in a lifetime" attitude, and will run them ragged with a bloodthirsty hunger.

Everton should see this as a positive thing, and not start making excuses already.

<stirs a bigger pot with a bigger spoon>

Anyone with half a brain realises that Barcelona goal was bad news for Everton.

I stated that Chelsea losing in the manner they did could be viewed as a positive - that effectively their season is over, that the FA Cup would be a minor consolation. However I haven't got half a brain :P:D

Well if they were still in the CL they prob would have a full squad to shoose form in the final, i have a strong inkling that Drogba maybe suspended for a number of games. Wouldnt be surprised if Ballack was to.

I'm not overly concerned.

Chelsea is Chelsea and Hiddink will have 'em ready regardless of what's happened this season.

If Didier Drogba had played for any club outside the top four, then he most probably would have received a ban. Has he plays for Chelsea, any ban imposed would most likely have been rescinded. Lampard and Terry in recent times have been banned only for the decisions to be overturned.

Bring it on, it'll be even more satifying when we show them what a %$#@ing disgrace they are.
