It came up in another thread, but worthy of its own, I reckon
With the new management team coming in I think we need to look again at Jags (33) as Captain, with Barry (35) as backup. Perhaps do this thing of Club Captain and Team Captain? No doubt Jags is an all-round good guy, great servant to the club for nearly 10 years and so he needs to be treated decently, but do we need something more akin to Reidy's / Waggy's character on the pitch?
Looking at the other captains around the league last season, its a bit of a mixed bunch tbh
(I'm not 100% sure about accuracy of the data from here but best I could find http://www.transfermarkt.com/premier-league/mannschaftskapitaene/wettbewerb/GB1)

I'd love us to find someone with the snide of Noble, ref narking skills of Terry and the necessary on-field team leadership skills. But who as a regular starter in the current squad could do a better job or grow into the job perhaps? Who coming in potentially (Scott Dann?) could step into Jag's on-field Captain's boots? Personally, I don't see Barry necessarily playing all the games next season (as fantastic as he was last season), so I'd count him out for that role. Baines - was a lot more vocal onfield at the tail end of last season. Baines anyone?
