Ezekiel

Player Valuation: £8m
can't see this. sky sports reporting on it.

rangers couldn't afford his wages and he's too old for us surely?

I hope this is true actually. I get the impression that the squad could do with a new face or two to freshen up the atmosphere around the club. That's without even mentioning that he was among the best players in the world in his position for years, and his experience and ability could be real assets. Even if his pace/fitness/hunger has gone he could be a useful option until Donovan's probable arrival in january.

He won't improve us that much tbh. Giovinco would be a better acquisition imo but he's not in the market anymore after his loan move to Parma.

I have to agree that its not a particular problem having 1 or 2 quality older players in the squad at the right wage and the thought they are not expected to play every game. Laarson helped utd out temporarily when they were struggling upfront a little while back, Scholes and Giggs still challenge plenty of players too onteir terms. Clearly you don't want a latter day w.smith policy of buying every veteran that moves [or not in some cases) but bit part roles for such players can be useful. Paul Power in '86 was a makeshift because of key injuries but ended up playng most of the games. Even a dozen or so games from a veteran could help us out & not necessarily this guy.

He's the type of experienced player that could be very useful in our squad and I'd be happy to see us sign him, he's still a good player as well and he'd add even more quality to our squad

I'd love him here tbh, I'm a Italy fan so he has always been a favourite player of mine.

but

He's 33 and I'm sure his wages would be high, not really a Moyes type of signing.

Apparently we've today been linked in the Italian press with David Trezeguet...(according to that Lebanese Toffee on Kipper, the lad who posts loads of mad links from all over the world!)
