i'm obviously lookin at it through blue coloured glasses but i don't see anything topping it, save for a matt taylor-esque midfield strike or something of that nature. nonetheless, we all know a big 4 club will be chosen for goal of the season from all the major sports sites, just because that's how it goes

A great goal, a perfect overhead kick, but I doubt it will get goal of the season or even goal of the month, they always choose 40 yard screamers if their there.

Even when I watch it now it doesnt look right.

I showed my bird it (aswell as about 10 locals Im converting) and she said 'thats not Everton is it'.

I could see her point of view.

It was good but not as ace as Osmans v Larissa.

I think the actual shot by Cahill was better but the buildup and subsequential goal by Osman in the Larissa match was pure class.

I haven't seen a buildup to a goal like that by Everton in a long, long time.

40 yarders always win it - even when they are the 3rd goal in a 3-0 drubbing. For me the goal has to be good and meaningful (match winner/point saver etc.) - So Cahill's goal was great wasn't it - as indeed was Leon's!

Great goal, but the selectors always cream themselves over Rooney and Ronaldo breaking from defence for Man U, and scoring from a few neat passes...Which is why Osman's against Larissa should get it, based on that theory.

ps.Why is it telling me to spell defence, defense? Are we being taken over by American's on this site?!! Always muscling in with those superior athletic bodies of theirs...I don't know!!
