Cahill In Injury Lie Shocker

Tim Cahill will not link up with Australia this week.
The midfielder has pulled out of the squad to face Nigeria in London because of injury,
Cahill scored against Chelsea on Sunday but reported a couple of niggles after the game.
The Football Australia website confirmed: "Cahill informed team management yesterday that he would not be arriving later in the day due to injury reasons and he would not be available for the match and this was confirmed with a medical report from his club Everton."

isn't it great, rather or not it is true that he has minor injure over the from last few games, Cahill deserve some rest and only we will benefit from it, we have busy fixtures coming up after the international break!

We're just now getting a healthy Cahill back.

And Australia have the stones to ask to have him on international duty? ("Hey Everton, thanks for getting Tim back up to full speed for us.")

He needs to stay with Everton, work on his fitness and not risk himself for two meaningless matches.

If he'd been healthy this whole time, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But he's shown just over the last month how much we've missed him and risking him again just doesn't make much sense right now.

Other sports team wise we have a top domestic comp. Individual sports do their own tours so that doesnt matter.

Its only football where we have this problem.

Thats why we have to play home friendlies at Upton Park.
