Interestingly, both Kewell & Emerton have returned to the A-League & their first matches, against each other coincidentally, clash with the Malaysia game... Both are fit, but neither were picked. No mention of the FFA pulling strings for one of the most anticipated domestic games in years, if not ever.
I think the conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this...

I'm all for Internationals as it's the best we'll generally see down here, apart from all the sunshine & beaches...but I digress...if Kewell & Emerton can be "omitted" for their highly anticipated first games in the "mighty" A-League, then I don't see why Tim is needed.
Ahhh, possibly because Tim Cahill IS the Australian team, whereas Kewell and Emerton are both past it (well possibly not Emerton but he will be by 2014).
