Cahill Australian duty on Malaysia

Interestingly, both Kewell & Emerton have returned to the A-League & their first matches, against each other coincidentally, clash with the Malaysia game... Both are fit, but neither were picked. No mention of the FFA pulling strings for one of the most anticipated domestic games in years, if not ever.

I think the conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this...

Are they good enough for the Australian team though?

Two games on October 7th and the 11th with Everton facing Chelsea four days later.

I seem to remember Cahill telling fans off about loyalty and getting behind the team a few weeks back. Maybe he should lead by example and show us all how it's done by preparing for a crucial set of games being faced by the people who pay his wages?

As much as i love Timmy, i agree with this. He should of retired from international football a long time ago, he's gonna burn himself out eventually and potentially cause his body problems later in life

I'm all for Internationals as it's the best we'll generally see down here, apart from all the sunshine & beaches...but I digress...if Kewell & Emerton can be "omitted" for their highly anticipated first games in the "mighty" A-League, then I don't see why Tim is needed.

Ahhh, possibly because Tim Cahill IS the Australian team, whereas Kewell and Emerton are both past it (well possibly not Emerton but he will be by 2014).

I think they'd be perfectly fine for Malaysia, with all due respect to Malaysia. If it was Japan or S. Korea, different story.
