Siggy/Gomes are not that... neither was Davies last week... asking any of those to play defensively will get us nowhere.

He threw in the extra CB to cover... I like it, better than forcing a Davies/Morgan/Gomes to attempt to replace the defensive role which Gana plays for us, which would be foreign to them.

I agree with you on Davies not being a DM, the big question I have avout Davies is what he is exactly? I genuinely can't think of a position that he would excell at, he maybe average to OK in a few positions but nowhere would you even say he's good.

I'm not a fan either mate but take into account the midfield 2 aren't exactly the type to be defensive and the fact we've just been mulleres 6-2 I would love a clean sheet and a 1-0 win today

This XI just looks like a massive roll of the dice by Marco.

I don’t get Walcott in a team with a back 3; surely Coleman provides the width on that side? Rather see a narrow front 3 with Siggy, Bernard and DCL, and put Davies in CM.

I see Davies as backup to Gomes. To come in when Gomes is unable to play.

Agree mate. It would be different if it was a striker, or someone who can turn a game who are not 100% fit, but who you could bring on for 15 mins or so, but it's not as if Gana is going to change the game coming off the bench.
