He should be, i cant see him having the dignity to walk though.

2 more games and this will be his second longest term in a job, which says a lot, 5 jobs so far and only one has lasted longer then his current one, when a manager cant keep a job for long there are usually reasons
That is quite a stat.

Its almost like it takes players and fans 50 games to work out he's a one trick pony fraud!

Actually its 6 jobs not 5, and this is his second longest stretch, the funny thing is I remember people saying Watford only went crap because our interest had distracted him Haha wonder whose tapping him now.....

We will dominate pissesion and maybe even break a sweat, we defend stoutly but the inevitable score will be...

Few comments saying this one is a must win for Silva (keeping his job-wise), I’m not so sure. Bloody hard place to go Burnley, I want to see more resilience from us and a point here in our current malaise would be a good one I think. Burnley have forwards who are a right handful.

When we were linked with Dyche before Allardyce was appointed I really thought he would have been a good fit for us. Not a sexy enough name for some but I think he would have gotten us to be that regular ‘best outside the sky 6’ over a few seasons and then we could have perhaps looked at a managerial upgrade in due course once he had built a foundation alongside a DoF.

I really hope we can put in a confidence boosting solid performance here, heart says 1-2 but head says 1-1.

Very very tough game. Let's not fall into the trap of presuming because we have better players we should win(as we did with Villa and Bournemouth). I think our team falls into this too. We have been terrible away for months. We have to go in there and be compact, want the win, work our arses off to win as much as they will, try not to make mistakes at the back then hit them on the break and hopefully let our forwards take the chances. Will we do this? Will we hell.

Mate we’ve got no one there.

7 games in and it’s crisis point for Marco, one suspects. I’ve said previously I think the board will give him until Xmas, but I’m not so sure now, although a slightly improved performance against City. The problem is, other managers look at us and they know we have no fight if we concede first.

We haven't won a premier league away game since last March, have conceded twice as many goals as we have scored and we have got a Manager who is patting them all on the back and mollycoddling them for only getting beaten by 3 - 1 at home and sitting just above the relegation zone. I wouldn't want Dyche at Everton but he is definitely a better Manager than Silva (most managers are tbh) and he will have a robust game plan in place for this match.

Dont even think we will scrape a 0 - 0 draw with our leaky defence and so can only see another away game loss here because they will score more goals than us.

Can really set the tone with a win here. In a strange way I'd prefer a scrappy, hard-fought 1-0 than ant other type of win, just to see the fight and desire from the players.

I think Silva's doing fine, the problem is the players aren't doing it. They aren't mere puppets, they get told but they have to do it on the pitch. Remember SA telling the media 'I don't kick the ball' when the performances were bad...there IS something about the group dynamic which is off...maybe they as a group feel like they're God's gift and don't have to work all that hard. Have a think about how hard the City players worked as well as their talent.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. A new manager won't solve that any quicker than Silva; things will improve if Gbamin returns with Gomes, a 433 begins, a CB and a Cm arrive in Jan. But don't hold your breath before then
