"Everton expects success. We’ve a very good crowd and our crowd are very loyal. But, of course, they pay money and they expect to see us do well. If we don’t do well then something should be done about it and something will be done about it,”

I love that last sentence by Sir John Moores.

I'd like Dan Friedkin to kick down the Burnley away dressing room door before kick off and just repeat that paragraph.

Burnley 0-4 Everton

That's why Sir John Moores is head and shoulders the greatest custodian in this club's history. He got us. And not only did he get us, he put his money where his mouth was.

Dan Friedkin probably couldn't pick us out on a map.

I'm expecting us to beat Burnley next weekend. I think it will be a difficult game given the defensive nature of our manager and the key absences of some of our best players, but really if we're going to plead poverty when losing to Chelsea and Arsenal, the same applies the other way. We should be winning at Burnley and no excuses. Tough game for sure, and no guarantees at all. But we should be demanding a win there and see anything less as something of a failure, circumstances notwithstanding.

Broja's going to score here isn't he, was a decent header late on at Bournemouth.

This would be a comfortable win with Ndiaye and KDH playing imo but they likely won't be so that pushes the final third quality down considerably. They'll have Kyle Walker on Jack so feels with his experience from Man. City he could nullify him.

Feels a 1-1.

Rohl and Tim CM and Garner right back. Get some balance back in the team

Would be amazed if Rohl started this. He hasn't featured for months and mediocre as anything v Arsenal. Some more sub cameos in which he hopefully shows more then would be looking to start him v Brentford and Wolves as he needs to show decent form in those games to be signed permanently.

Broja was unlucky not to score when he came on as sub v Palace, although that was as much an error by Henderson. I was at that game, Burnley were poor. I said then and I'll say it again that we should be putting 3 past them.
And Kyle Walker wasn't any great shakes. In fact the Burnley crowd were taking the pee out of him for his attempts at a long throw, landing just inside the penalty box.
0 - 3 to Everton.

Hopefully that last minute goal by Burnley isnt a turning point for them.

If Moyes wants European Football, then even with the injuries, these are games you must win...

That said, cant say im confident after Saturday.

We have a couple of absentees and Moyes and the media are talking up their absence when we have a squad that's still head and shoulders above a tripe Burnley team.

It's how you use our players not what Burnley can or cant do that'll determine the result.
