It's Memorial Day. We're all about grilling the burgers and dogs, and smoking the ribs and such this weekend. Was going to the baseball game here, but it's raining. Meh. Not what you want for Memorial Day.

Down South, it's fried chicken for Sunday dinner. You get your Yankee Pot Roast where you get your Yankees.

What's a pot roast? Is it a stew?

Pretty much. More like what you folks call a "hot pot." You got your beef with your onions and various root veg and the like in the pot with ample gravy.

Come back when you want to learn all about that southern style stuff. We do the pork BBQ, the fried chicken, and the collard greens and cornbread and such. Also your gumbos and etouffees in the Louisiana region - highly recommended for those with an adventurous palate.

Sounds great, I love southern food! Theres not enough food threads on here nowadays.

Some American food scares me. The size of some of those burgers. Heart attack in a bun.
