From today's press conference

"Oviedo has lost a considerable amount of weight. I expect him to join the group. I don’t expect him to be far away."

Poor lad really got hit hard by that bug.

I had something similat about the same time...didnt lose much weight though :(

These athletes i think can be affected by this much more than thode of us not reliant on our physical condition.

Very poor today i thought, got done a few times by Tadic. Didn't look fully fit.

Needs to do better if hes starting Weds or Semi Final

I thought the same and felt his ankle may have affected him when he twisted it off the pitch.

However, he looked decent going forward so perhaps just a poor gsme defensively? Tadic had him every single time.

was it just a case of his injured ankle affecting his performance today or did tadic just have the better of him? weird performance from him today

He also had no help and they double up on his side every time. I dont think he recovered from the knock in the first half either.

Completely hung out to dry by the manager. To leave him against tactic with no defensive cover is suicide. How a manager with a pro licence can't see what was happening to him is laughable.

I dont think they can see half the things that are happening when they are stood pitch level. There is a reason rugby coaches sit in the stands. With the elevated view you can see the shape of the team and what needs adjusting.

He wasn't moving properly you could see it straight after he went over on the ankle. His pace & tenacity are for me his biggest assets tadic is a good player but his lack of pace is the reason he isn't at a top club At one point Oviedo couldn't keep up with him after a hopeful punt over the top stones then lambasted him it was clear to see he was injured.

He should have gone off injured I just think Martinez didn't want to bring Connolly on but ultimately was left without any choice once Coleman got injured .

This.

Oviedo went over on his ankle horribly early on, good lad for fighting through it though and he did OK considering.

Yes many players would of just went off. in many ways I wish he did go off as the game wasn't a fair reflection of him as a player he is much better than yesterday's performance. People will say tadic ripped Oviedo when 9 times out of ten I genuinely believe Oviedo would nullify him comfortably

Thought he was terrible yesterday. Just isn't good enough to be a regular starter I'm afraid and that's coming from someone who used to stick up for him. For a defender he is pretty gash at actually defending.
