Barry had this on the weekend, and played. Clevz, had it and we heard nothing. Oviedo gets it and is hospitalised. Mad the luck this lad has.

On another note. Has anyone ever seen Oviedo run off a knock?

Chest infection is probably pretty frightening for the super fit. Struggling to breathe and pains in limbs is par the course for me like... Im like that first thing in the morning.... Every morning

Mate, it's scary for us mere mortals. I had swine flu and pneumonia, then pleurisy once - never been so ill in my life. Thought I was having a heart attack (I'm medical, I know the symptoms and don't overreact usually).

Point being, he's best to get checked out, but is Baines fit to reclaim LB? Or is Galloway? He did well if Baines can't get 100% fit in time.

Wow... Grouch... I've heard pleurisy is very painful on its own. Think I would of gone to the docs with that list.... or a hospital !!! I wasn't making light of Bry's plight and very pleased it's only an infection rather than a heart problem.... God knows he deserves a bit of better news eh

Had the same mate and you are right, probably the most scared I've ever been as the pain is insane and you can't help but think it's to do with your heart. Knocked me for six and was in hospital for a couple of weeks with it

....interesting that these super fit lads get such things. I suppose nobody is immune to infection.
Often the opposite is true. In my younger days when I was running marathons and training hard I was more susceptible to bugs and viruses etc as my body was tired. I guess Bryan and I are just like these highly tuned racehorses and find it difficult to shake off the common bugs mere mortals have no problems with :-)

Rory Storm. Lead singer with the 1960s Liverpool band Rory Storm and The Hurricanes. He was a brilliant sportsman. He was so good at athletics that he was considered for the 1960 Olympics. He was also a great swimmer and diver, footballer, skater and Ice-Hockey player. He kept himself in great condition and hardly ever had a drink. Bronchitis caused his death at the age of 34.It is a deadly condition that can strike at anyone.

if this is a virus how is it spread? and if its contagious which it appears to be wtf was barry doing sat on the bench at the weekend?!
