Best LB at the club.
For our tactics, and on current form, can only agree with this. He deserves to keep the place until injury strikes again or his form drops off, even if it means Baines' Euro 2016 chances are harmed.

The two periods we looked at the races this season defence wise was when we had the LB berth filled by someone other than Baines...someone more defensively minded than Baines. Galloway earlier in the season and now Oviedo. As said above: it stands to reason you must have a greater balance between our attack minded players and what's behind them. Baines was a no brainer starter in a previous era when we badly required punch from flying FBs because our open play was fairly limited. That's not so now, and we require different qualities at FB.

What a lovely family

BRYAN OVIEDO
Still managing to keep Leighton Baines out of the side, which says it all really. He also gets an extra point for managing to not only convince his wife and kid to come to Stoke, but talking them into sitting in the away end with us animals. 8/10

His wife is lovely, and I don't say that just because she's easy on the eye ( which she is ). She was in the Bullens at an U21 match to watch Bry a few years ago and was utterly charming.

As much as I love him, he still needs to prove he can maintain his fitness. Since coming back from his leg break he's struggled to stay fit for more than a few weeks at a time.

Extend his contract until the end of next season and give him the opportunity to do that and then we can discuss a longer extension imo
