If ever a footballer deserves some luck and a run of games it is Oviedo. The way he handled the terrible injury was admirable.

Genuine question but what did he do that was admirable? Was a horrible injury though.

Maybe more a reflection of how low a lot of players are regarded that a normal lad stands out?

I love his song and still smile at his goal celebration against United that time.

He does suprise me in that I always think his good performances are just a lucky streak, then hes out for yonks, comes back and looks just as good. Baines is clearly a better player but I always think our performances have been better when Oviedo has had a run in the side. Not that I think he's the be all and end all of how we play.

Still managing to keep Leighton Baines out of the side, which says it all really. He also gets an extra point for managing to not only convince his wife and kid to come to Stoke, but talking them into sitting in the away end with us animals. 8/10

Well only an hour after the injury, knowing he wouldn't make the world cup.. He was on instagram in his everton shirt with a smile on his face and thumbs up saying be positive or something.
That and all the hard work he did to get here and get fit again after, by all accounts, is admirable
