Don't think your in the minority mate as everyone loves a bit of Oviedo.

Tough for Baines, basically missed a years worth of togger so it ain't gonna come back overnight and fortunately for Oviedo he's b managed to get some fitness at the right time.

I've always liked Oviedo, I think he brings a lot of qualities. Baines on his day though is another monster.

Competition for places, good to see ;)

Oh aye. I hope for Baines sake he gets back to full fitness and form. He's capable of driving us forward when he's on blob. No mean feat playing left back.

I'd like to think Oviedo is the long term replacement

Great performance, hope he builds on it. I'm one of his biggest critics but if he puts in performances like he did today he'll prove why he's been offered a new deal at the club.

Twitter can be a distasteful place at times, but tweets like that from Bryan posted here by @LinekersLegs are what it's all about. The lad is a genuine guy who you can tell is honoured to play for Everton and who genuinely values the support the club and it's supporters have shown him.

I just love the lad and was almost distraught when I heard those jarg rumours last monday of him joining newcastle lol

He loves playing for us and he gives everything. Not to mention to the fact he is a great little player too. I hope he stays here and injury free for many more years.

There's always certain players you want to do well, usually they are the injury prone players and players you know have it but just need that bit of luck to start it all

This fella you just want to see him play and watch everything he gives to the team

Keep it going

Very useful squad player and for me is definitely worth a new contract if he's happy with the role he has. I mean he's hardly on a wedge is he and he looks to finally got over his bad luck with injuries. Baines is going to have to work very hard to win his place back and Garbutt is going to have a real fight on his hands when he eventually comes back.
