Bryan Oviedo

Seems like a top lad but wouldn't get in the match day squad unless there were a number of injuries and I'd probably have him down as 4th choice at left back which is his best position. Add in that he's very injury prone and as a result I don't think he'd be missed if we moved him on.

He's one of a number of players like Naismith, Hibbert, Osman, McGeady and Gibson who we can look to leave and replace with either better versions or promote youth players.

Don't think I've seen Hibbert ever cross a ball like Galloway did for Naismith against Chelsea. Comparing him to Hibbert in that regard is harsh.
... and that's the only one piece is attacking place you can pick out from nearly fifteen games. Speaks volumes.

As somebody very quick pointed out, even Hibbert has done that in the past.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

Galloway is largely a liability going forward, and the quicker Baines is back in, the better.

He's clearly still more capable than Hibbert. Which is the point.

I don't disagree one bit.

Definitely CB in the future.

On the subject is Oviedo, unless he can do a Kone very soon, probably best to get rid in the summer, as lovely as he is.

Wiki hasnt the full details but says Garbutt has played 5 games for Fulham.

I cant see us keeping Oviedo. We'd basically have 4 left backs then (including Galloway) and 2 is usually enough per position Baines/Garbutt and i think Garbutt is more likely to be kept than Oviedo, even just looking at injuries.

You need defenders to be fit and consistent especially if backup as if Baines was rested or out for any games we couldnt rely on oviedo being fit.
Garbutt hasn't done much at Fulham, mid table, no manager, and he can't seem to cement a place in an average team.So maybe given Oviendo's injury record we'll need to look elsewhere.

I've said it before but would definitely look to offer him another year. He's a fantastic back up, and still second-choice LB when fit IMO, as good as Galloway is.

sake lads, glad some of you don't work for the club. you do realise if we sell every single player outside the match squad of 18 we don't have a chance in hell of competing in the league, cups and europe? he's a very good utility player who can play a fair few positions. Does anyone really think we'd get any more than about £2m for him anyway? No point in selling at all, hopefully he can get past these few injuries and get back to the player he was.
