Anyone know why he's out the squad today? I read on another site a while ago that there were rumours of a fall out with Martinez. Probably untrue but in my opinion he should be starting or at least on the bench. Contract expires soon as well. If he's not getting game time then he'll be off next summer.

Not a dig at you specifically mate, but I am sick and tired of reading this comment because it's simply untrue. We use our fullbacks in a very attacking manner, which requires them to be very pacy and to have an engine. Barry has neither of these qualities.

Oviedo should be in the match day squad - he has put in a decent performance every time he's had an opportunity in his entire time with us.

In fairness Bryan looked really rusty in pre season, so the manager has probably pulled him out to get him playing to some kind of level. The Bryan Oviedo of pre season would not have done better than the kids today.
