Bryan Oviedo

That international break is going to be handy for once, give us an extra week for him (and a few others), Palace at home on as a sub... the Derby is the week after ;)

I live in Australia so watch all the games on tv... can always hear it loud and clear when the 'Oviedo baby' chant is sung though. Always brings a smile to my face, can't wait for him to be back

If god forbid Coleman ever gets injured again I'd play Bryan right back. Stones is much better at centre half and Hibbert is, well, Hibbert. Given how lively he looked playing right wing on occasion last year it could work.

He seems miles better at left back and the freedom afforded to him playing there in our current set up.

Problem is now that we have potentially three sound left backs. Will be interesting to see how that works out.

Atsu is left footed isn't he? And Pienaar usually plays on the left so I don't think Martinez has too many plans of shifting either Baines or Oviedo further up the pitch.

I kind of wish he would to be honest

If he played Baines and Oviedo together, he could have them swap fluidly between LB and LM

Think I'll cry when he comes back.
There are few things that can fill me with that kind of emotion but yeah I know what you mean.

When Goodison roars for a lad who's been through what he has and has stayed so positive and generally awesome throughout it's hard not to be choked.

(Obviously I'd never be sad with his wage and his wife but still).

Absolutely not. He's very one footed and you can't afford to be cutting in all the time to make a clearance.
