This is very true, love Lofgren and Weinberg. Jealous mate, enjoy, and post a review when you're back (or when your sober)!

I hope it's utterly smashing. I was *this* close to getting tickets myself, given the weather and my misanthropic tendancies I'm glad I didn't now.

Enjoy it

haha, yeah..keep checking the weather, have done a couple of glastos in the muddy years, so this should be a walk in the (hyde) park, his new albums pretty good too, so should be ace

I'll be there too! Can't wait. Should probably go to bed seeing as I'm up at 6am to catch the rattler down to the smoke..

I'll be there.

In truth, I rarely listen to him on record (other than that glowing seventies motherlode) but live, the man is the business. I'd recommend him to someone who'd never even heard a note. Just fucking brilliant.

Three years ago, he was immense.

nice one, only seen him the once at glasto, he was great then..so well looking forward to this, hes 62 for christs sakes!

I saw him for the first time in '85 at St James' Park. I was just turned 21, in the middle of my finals at Uni. It was like he was speaking to me directly - like it was just me and him in the room. There were tens of thousands of us there...

I passed, by the way.

Huge Springsteen fan.

Those first 7 albums are amazing and plenty of stellar stuff after that.

Would have gone to see him but between going to the euros and having to rent a house for Uni this year couldn't afford it.

He is amazing though.

That and the fact he basically invented modern indie with Nebraska makes him a hero.
