As it stands with everyone available I'd go with this. Still a fan of us lining up classic 4-4-2 style. We really need to find a real left back and a new keeper, but I think this is pretty strong. Jozy and Dempsey could offer attacking options off the bench. Acosta is now depth in midfield.

-------------Howard----------------
Yedlin---Gonzo--Brooks---Fabian

Pulisc---Cam---Bradley---Nagbe

--------Morris------Wood---------

hate that we have to play Fabian at LB when he's much better up the field

This isn't a bad shout. Could compete with this.

This post still pains me. He's Naismith with actual pace. Pretty crap at football but knows where the onion bag is...and is fast.

Besides he actually has a league title under his belt :coffee:

I guess I should explain how I see this. It's not so much his talent as how he seems to always pop up in big moments and make everyone think he's this inspirational leader and talisman. He gets a lot of love and admiration from pundits that doesn't match how good he actually is. Also as a Portland fan I have to watch him do all this for our blood rival, like we all did with Gerrard.

Oh, and they won that trophy on penalties after playing terribly for 120 minutes. It was a very RS kind of victory.

You've just called Sounders the MLS RS.

Jozy is miles better than than Morris.

Nagbe dribbles the ball for an eternity which occasionally makes him look like an actual real live footballer. Unfortunately, 109% of the time all the dribbling amounts to absolutely nothing.

Jozy and Morris are very different players. I'd prefer a combo of Wood and Morris as they could harass almost any defense with their pace and athleticism. Not much of a finishing difference between the forwards either. Also, interesting time to post the Cam>>>Gonzo thing right after Cam had a terrible game, but I agree that he's a better player. That said, if we're going 4-4-2 which is what I proposed, we need someone like him in the midfield, hence why I had him there instead of at the back. Gonzo has also improved in Mexico. Disagree about the Nagbe piece. He should release the ball earlier at times, but he has some end product to his game as well.

Nagbe is a poor, poor man's Barks.

Huge, huge game today. Need Dempsey to will this team to victory tonight.
