You do have to question that 369m figure. That's a lot of coin. Perhaps there's serious structural rebuilding required.

Think most of it is just going on re-wiring and re-plumbing mate. There are nearly 800 rooms though and multiple miles of cable and pipes to be replaced. Also read somewhere that there are approx 10 football pitch worth of floorboards to be taken up and put down again.

In fairness, Prince Philip served on the frontline during WWII, Prince Andrew served as a helicopter pilot during the Falklands War and Prince Harry served on the frontline in Helmand a Province.

I don't like the Monarchy, but i have to admit that a lot of the Royals have a good service record.
