Always felt a bit sorry for old Roy regardless of him running the ****e.

Always liked Roy Hodgson. Obviously by law I had to dislike him when he was RS manager but he wasn't anywhere near the level of gobshytness that Brendan Rodgers has mastered.

Kopites were already pestering Hodgson out at this point. Why not Rodgers? Because of the spin he puts on things with his bullsh*t about the filosofee and tiki taka as well as convincing the Cult that it's the fault of officials and not him.

They hated Hodgson as he didn't share their bile spewing bitterness towards Ferguson & had the temerity to say something pleasant about him prior to the start of the season. From that point on he was a dead man walking.

Their reluctance to be seen to doubt the 'new Shanks' is partly down to the fact that they can't contemplate another one dying on his arse. They've collectively decided that he is the messiah & therefore it has to be so.......when they realise that he's just a blarney spouting Ulsterman, he'll be labelled a heretic & burned at the stake. haha.
