Can I change the subject here slightly?

After a gig in Manchester at the Students Union, I came out of the building onto Oxford road, turned right, and there was a Kebab shop a few hundred yards on the right.
This kebab I bought was lovely, but it was very different.
The sauce that I thought was chilli was more like a curry sauce, and quite yellow.
Has anyone experienced that type of sauce before?

No but I just felt it was a good post, theres been countless discussions about the merits of pasties, I just thought I would pass on my feelings and maybe get some feedback.

I was hoping the pastie experts, who in my eyes are Reids, Roy and Danny would add something to the mix, but sadly not.

Just a warning really, I mean how can a chicken and bacon lattice taste rank? But it did, I tasted it, never again.

Appreciate the warning.

The clue was in the 'lattice' to be fair.

That's like ordering an 'open sandwich'. Very disappointed.

In those terms it is a very sound thread Goat, perish those who nip at your heels. I went to Gordale Nurseries on Saturday and the wife paid nearly six quid for two so called cheese and tomato panini's, they were [Poor language removed], an absolute disgrace to have been put on sale (rant over)

No to be fair.
It was definitely a curry taste as opposed to the regular chilli Im used to.
Along that road is Rusholme where they have something called the curry mile.
When I looked after Manchester for a company, I had a lot of customers on that road, and there are so many curry houses it's untrue.
Two in particular constantly battled it out for awards, so the standard of food there must be very high.
