Marouane Fellaini comes within a close shave of losing iconic afro after Manchester United move
Fans spotted the star move his way past roadworks and then walk towards a barbers... but he brushed past the shop and headed for a bank instead
Marouane Fellaini frightened Manchester United fans when this picture surfaced of the £27.5m star seemingly walking into a barbers.
At first it appeared that the Belgian international was looking to lose his trademark afro at his new club, as he sulked past roadworks and faced towards the shop.
And to make matters worse for the supporters, the star was also wearing a scarf that looked as though it came out of the Man City club shop .
But fear not - the trademark tuft is still intact as he brushed past the shop and headed for a nearby bank, probably to check if his latest wages had been deposited.
One witness told the Manchester Evening News: "He parked right next to the hairdressers and we were thinking he was going in for a cut.
"But he walked past and was in the bank for 15 minutes."
Speaking about his move to Manchester, Fellaini said: "It is a big step for me but I have played five years in England.
"I know the league and I know the players so I don't think I will have a problem with this move.
"Of course I look forward to it, I am playing with big players so I need to work hard for my place."
