Bradley Lowery

I remember reading a quote somewhere once that seems apt right now:

"When all is said and done, it's not the years in your life that count.... it's the life in your years."

Bradley Lowery won the Premier league Goal of the Month contest and was matchday mascot for Sunderland, Everton and England. He managed to unite thousands upon thousands of football fans across the planet. His cheerful bravery in the face of absolutely crappy odds is something that I feel humbled and privileged to have seen, and his legacy will be one of a massive injection of funding into researching a way to defeat the condition that caused him so much pain.

It may have been a short stay on this Earth for Bradley, but my goodness what an impact he had. If I can ever be even half the man he has been, I will be happy.

RIP Bradley. Thank you for reminding us what heroism really looks like.
Wanted to express my own sentiments but, Man, you have just said it all. Thank you.

And God speed young Brads - love and fondest thoughts to your family at this harrowing time x

There were a few tears in our house yesterday, saddened to hear of Bradders demise.
Yet this young fighter will live on in our hearts.
R.I.P.Bradley. God Bless.

Sunderland supporter and a North Easterner here. Just wanted to thank you fans and Everton club for taking one of ours to your hearts. It is truly appreciated and will not be forgotten.
It has been mentioned a couple of times on the SMB that it would be a great lasting tribute to our little hero if we had a Bradley cup that would be played for whenever we meet - hopefully not too long in the future. And by our hero I mean Sunderlands and Evertons and indeed the football world.
Would this be something you would support?

It's often spoken about on here. I think there'd be no objections from supporters.

I don't think it'll be long before you guys are back, but until then, even a pre season friendly will do. It's not often that two clubs can build such a closeness but that's just one of the many legacies Bradley has left us with.

It has been mentioned a number of times on here aswell.
Something along those lines in memory of such a special boy would I'm sure get plenty of support from here.
Ok thanks. I will see if we can get anything going. There are a lot who are better organized and better connected than me so I will see if someone can take up the baton. Would be nice to raise a bit of money each time for the Lowery Foundation to hopefully stop some other kids pain.

FA Cup final would be good for the inaugral trophy!
