Boxing

I think he is, but I don't think the gap between him and Wilder is that big, for three reasons. First, his chin is questionable. Second, he's gassed in the mid-rounds two fights on the bounce now. Third, and most important, his defences are all over the place at times and if a power hitter like Wilder walks through his shots to land one of his own, that could spell big trouble.

Gotta agree with this but I think Joshua beats him. People forget about Wilder that he is very average at best, yes he has a high knockout percentage but I’d say Joshua as beat the better openants compared to Wilder. Wilder ain’t got the best defence, he doesn’t move as good as Joshua, he throws a lot of wild punches. Doesn’t have good footwork. But I’d say, that he won’t be out of energy as much compared to a Takam. Pretty sure I seen a stat recently that Wilder as only beat one top ten ranked heavyweights from the ring or boxrec in his whole career.

For me Joshua needs to work on his stamina an awful lot, he wastes a lot of his energy by always going for the knock out punches. He needs to learn how to pace himself in the middle rounds. If he was fighting a more fitter fighter tonight, he could of been in some trouble.

Eddie says Wilder, Parker and Fury in 2018. Those are definitely the 3 big fights out there, but I really doubt that's what we'll see.

ha ha, Tyson Fury hasn't fought in 3 years!!! Mike Tyson would be a better fight.

I'd love to warm to Joshua, seems a nice fella. But he stinks of a Frank Bruno to me

Wilder is utterly raw, but he has power that even Joshua doesn't have. And the stat you have is nonsense. He has beat Stiverne and Liakovach (who was a world champion).

Take away the 40 year old Klitchsko who hadn't fought for 2 years, and Joshua has literaly fought nobody. Not all his fault, as there is nobody in the Heavyweight division

Let me rephrase that, top 10 in the last year. The last one you mentioned isn’t even in the top 100 on box rec at the minute and Stiverne ain’t fought in 2 years. Prior to the Stiverne fight, people in boxing were saying he was a weak champion. Stiverne vs Wilder was a close fight if I remember correctly? Wilder does have crazy punch power but he can also run out of stamina. He looked awful against Gerarld Washington and was behind on that score card, til he started windmilling. Be interesting to see how they could both hold each other’s power. In my opinion be a close fight but think Joshua would win.

Makes you think how lucky you are to have seen Tyson's and Lenix Lewis's careers.
