Boxing

How's he overhyped? He's won 20 on the bounce, stopped Wladimir, fought through adversity. He's certainly not the best fighter the world has ever seen, but he's easily the best heavyweight out there. I've never been in the situation, but I dare say it's not easy to fight 10 rounds with your nose broke to bits. It's bound to have an affect.

...

I know been hearing that myself and apart from Klitscho which was fanatstic who has he really fought. Needs to be beating better boxers to be even close to be compared to the likes of Lewis.

The people want unified champions. If you want to become unified champion then you need to hold onto your belts. And that means fighting mandatories.

Well that's not true. But he's definitely the best heavyweight currently. Only a fully fit Fury can beat him. And I doubt Fury getting back in the game is even a slight possibility.

I think he is, but I don't think the gap between him and Wilder is that big, for three reasons. First, his chin is questionable. Second, he's gassed in the mid-rounds two fights on the bounce now. Third, and most important, his defences are all over the place at times and if a power hitter like Wilder walks through his shots to land one of his own, that could spell big trouble.

You honestly don't think he is over hyped? Like I just said it's not his fault but the best heavyweight we have ever had is just stupid!

He can only fight and beat what’s in front of him. People seem to forget with Joshua that’s he’s still technically a baby in the professional ranks, he’s still a novice. He’s just happened to have a massive hype surrounding him in his career. Joshua will always say he’s improving, can get better and not on the level with the likes of Lewis. Joshua is the same as the premiership when it comes to hype. Sky will have you believe that football only started when the premiership did. You can’t blame him for that, sky and his promoters are behind the likes of that, it’s all to raise his profile, sell tickets and people to buy the PPV.

Realistically who is the for him to fight? Fury, Wilder and Parker? If he beat them 3. People would still say well he never fought real heavyweights. If social media and forums were around when Ali fought he would get called the same.

Ref did everything to protect Eddie Hearns cash cow, from giving joshua time to catch his breath to stopping it early. Joshua was at his heaviest and gassing badly imo. Who knows how those last two rounds would have gone. A shame.

If he beat all them then fair enough but when you hear people saying he is currently the best heavyweight we have ever had is just not even close. Not is fault for the hype but he is well over hyped.

I think Joshua would pick off Wilder. I'm not sure he'd be able to keep his own defence water tight. Joshua's defence isn't the best, but I'm not sure his chin is that bad. Only floored once and off a corker by Klitsckho. It's not like he's been floored by binmen.

He was always winning it - the ref just took the first opportunity to protect that marketable knockout streak.

What? Dillon whyte had him out at one point. And as seen tonight... he's [Poor language removed]
