Yeah David Haye like most boxers has made a career by being shy & retiring and not at all full of his own self importance.The bloke who makes people who want a selfie do twenty press-ups or get their girlfriend to give him a kiss or remember that hilarious t-shirt with his holding the klitschko‘s severed heads before he produced a woeful performance. As a scouser I remember him fondly shouting to the assembled Liverpool crowd that they were “f’ing retards” telling everyone that they were morons and to “Get them to bet all of their dole money on Tony Bellew to win the fight, if they are so confident." . I haven’t even touched on pulling out of fights for ‘injuries ‘ or using them as excuses like his big toe or comments like his Harrison fight will be as one sided as a gang rape.

I can certainly see why you’d want Bellew to lose because of what he says.

Its not just because of what he says though...i just dont rate him as much as he does. Hes a dolly fighter and deserves a spanking. Being an evertonian luckily doesnt force me to support the man.

That’s not what you said though you said you hoped he got sparked because he’s a loud mouth fool . That’s when he’s fighting a fella that made a 1970/80’s style dig about scousers and dole and called them morons and retards.

You don’t rate him as much as he does ? Well that’s a shock a boxer whose backing himself . Tony Bellew is a bloke whose had a couple of shots and eventually won a world title , for me he’s gets respect for that . To be honest I respect any fighter that gets in a ring but a scouser whose an blue and wins a world title at goodison is ok by me .

I’ve no problem with anybody not liking somebody mate , it’s your choice I just didn’t agree with the reasons you put up .

I’ve been in Tony’s company a couple of times and found him an absolute gent , happy to chat to anybody that approached him and I’ve also seen him at the game in the past and again he was just a genuine bloke . I’ve also been to watch Haye a few times , I even went over to Germany for the klitschko fight and I think my experiences and everything I’ve seen and read of Bellew and the contrast to bloke that makes fans do press up’s for a selfie is there for all to see .

I can’t think of anything that puts him there but fair enough . The lad gets a bit mouthy at press conferences but he’s far from alone in that and it’s that attitude that got him shot in the first place and that attitude that sold amazing ppv for this fight first time around .


Can you give me a list of boxers you genuinely like and don’t consider scum ? I Can’t be certain but I’m prepared to bet that in most cases if not off the top of my head then with a bit of google I can find worse than is out there than about Bellew . Be they drug cheats , armed robbers , rapists , wife beaters all of which I can name for you now .

One thing that seems to get over looked by the media and fans, is Bellew predicted exactly the way the first fight went. He called it to a tee and didn't get the credit he deserves for that. I hope Bellew wins, I just think Haye looks in much better shape this time around and kept his head during the build up. It's Bellew who seems nervous this time around. Hopefully be a good fight.

Like I say mate I’ve been to watch Haye a few times myself and I’ve enjoyed a lot of them. I’m not decrying your right not to want a Bellew win I was just disagreeing with the reasons you’d put forward. It’s a two horse race you pay your money and support who you like . Logistics mean I won’t be going so I’m a bit disappointed to be honest so I’ll be watching it full of beer after the game and hoping to be entertained.

Just for clarity though fella Haye is the fav again and like the first fight Bellew is the underdog .

I do think he’ll be lighter this time and that’s a concern for Tony but I thought Haye was in shape just not ring shape . I think it’s the condition that causes his problems because he carries too much weight for his frame . I can’t see how the time out will have helped in terms of being boxing fit that as his age but he’s saying all the right things which again isn’t unusual .

Interesting to watch though .

i think making fans do press ups for a selfie is pretty funny to be honest
