Boxing

I like Groves, especially that jab. Think he hits fairly well too.

But don't think he can stop Eubank in the first six, as I think Eubanks chin is the real deal, and I'm absolutely certain Groves lacks the stamina and work rate Eubanks has in spades.

Groves can win if he kills the pace and keeps it to a boxing match at range for 12 rounds, or maybe win it 8-9 rounds in if he walks Eubank onto one. But I think Eubank stops him around Rd 10, or wins on the cards by three or four rounds.

This is the really interesting question for me too. IF Groves lands with the same shot that was even good enough to put Froch on his bum, then it'd be the first real test of Jnrs jaw. Personally I hope Groves lands it and proves that Jnrs chin does have an off button!

Eubank V Groves at the weekend.

Anyone buying it? Who will win? Think it'll be an easier than expected victory for Junior.
Will be watching it but not paying for it or the smith fight either.
Can't honestly say who will win , if Groves can get behind a jab can see him winning on points, but can he do that against a fella who doesn't drop his workrate all night.
Both have weakness that can be exposed Groves might not be able to keep up with the pace, Eubank comes in way to square and looks open to getting caught, and hasn't really fought at groves level.
Hope it's a good fight anyway.

This fight has been promoted superbly from ITV and Saureland. It’s literally been everywhere and loads of people are interested in it. Fair play to the promoters for promoting it the way it should be.

It’s a genuine 50/50 fight. The key thing in this fight for me, is if Groves can get his jab working from the start of the fight. If he can, it will dictate the pace of the fight early on imo. Eubank has a great work rate and throws a lot of punches but he can be flat footed doing so. Has he got the pop in his punches to cause Groves damage? I dunno but he could cause Groves to receive a lot of punishment and could cause cuts. In the exchange, Groves tends to throw some wild punches, this could give Eubank a chance to counter with his speed and have Groves on the floor off a flash knockdown. If Groves gets on top of him early on, could really cause damage to Eubank. I think the key to the fight will be til the middle rounds, who can dictate the speed, who can cut off the ring, and who can deal with the pace more. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was a draw. Gonna go for Groves on a SD.

Ray Beltran won the biggest fight of the weekend and his 1st world title . The win meant that he finally got his green card stamped despite living in Arizona most of his life . I he didn’t win he faced deportation within 2 years .

After the robbery against Ricky burns I’m made up for him . Great story and a decent fight .
