A lot of them call Hearn all sorts until he lobs a bag of money at them.

That’s true. He does seem to pay his fighters very well though.

Bit gutted here but me and my mate have booked to go Belfast on the 14th of April. He booked it thinking the fight between Frampton vs Donaire was that weekend. They’ve officially announced it for the week after. Now I know we weren’t getting tickets but would of liked to have sampled the atmosphere in the city around his fight.

I’m not really excited for Joshua vs Parker at all. I think Joshua will give him a very good beating and look good in doing so. Parker basically looking at he’s got a punches chance. That’s about it from him. Everyone was saying Joshua struggled with Takem, Parker struggled to end some rounds due to the punishment he was getting.

yeah Parker has been looking to scrape by and get to this payday basically, he's gotten there, but he's very very average, still, a nice chance to see a kiwi take a pummeling

A couple of people here at work picking Parker to win this.....saying Parker has a granite chin, never touched the canvas but AJ has, so clearly there is an advantage there.

This was the shot that put AJ on the canvas. I doubt Parker would have remained standing:

Credit to AJ, he got himself back up and escaped the next 3 rounds.

Has Parker fought punchers though in his career? His two biggest wins in his career are against Carlos Takem and Hughie Fury. He struggled in both those fights and was on the verge of getting knocked out against Takem towards the end of two rounds. He was been held up by the ropes twice in that fight, if it weren't in New Zealand, good chance he would of been stopped elsewhere. A lot of people had Fury winning the fight between them, me personally, thought Parker won by a round. People seem to be basing Joshua's last two fights, that he isn't that good. He is still in experienced in the game. He shown how green he was against Wladimer, he blew his tank out by going for the knockout against Wlad (people have been crying out years to see a fight like that) he got through it, and finished the fight in spectacular fashion. It will be a good fight, the early rounds will be exciting but come the middle rounds, Joshua will take over imo. Both these fighters haven't got the best stamina either, but gonna go for a Joshua win in the 9th round by a stoppage.

There are those who believe that if the fight between Parker and Ruiz was not in NZ, then Ruiz would be WBO champion.

Forgot about that fight. That's the other fight I seen him in against Andy Ruiz. He's looked awful every time I've seen him box. Ruiz was calling for a rematch on neutral grounds and Parker and his team were having none of it.

Watched the two promoters on Sky yesterday, arguing there cases for why both will win. It come across highly embarrassing on Hearn and Higgins. The press conference should be a good'en tomorrow.

The president of NZ Boxing whatsimacallit reckoned Ruiz won the fight.

I remember people booing the result. It was a majority decision if I remember correctly. Parker and his team are after a big pay deal, I don't think they believe they can win it. His promoter didn't sound confident on SSN yesterday.

Big fight next week between Breidis and Usyk. Pretty sure it's on ITV box office, will definitely be tuning into that one/
