Boxing

You’ll be in for a treat tonight then. Rigondeux is on par with him. Both elite and masters in the amateurs and both carried it on to the pros.

lol You telling me Rigondeux ain’t on par with him? He’s absolutely superb at everything he does. He’s got the patience of a saint. He might not be offensively better than Lomachenko due to the way he fights. Defensively he is. He can land a punch from all type of angles, picks his shots precisely and so calm the way he does it all.

Trying my best to stay awake for it but failing big time.

Yes.

So.....Rigo averaged 3 landed punches per round.

Last week we saw Cotto fight and win with a torn bicep. Tonight we see Rigondeux retire with a fake injury.

89% to Rigo's head is why he quit.

Yep.

But I don’t blame him in a way. Imagine thinking you’re the best in the world and getting in with someone you can’t even touch.

I think after the first, he realized what he had gotten himself into. I had Loma edge round 1, but then it was clear Loma from that point on.

Look at Stephen Smith tonight, fighting with half his ear hanging off.
It got stopped immediately.

I'm not sure why people seen the Loma Rigo fight as a genuine 50/50, the size difference was always going to be ridiculous. Rigo could prob fight at 118 if he wanted to but Loma will move up again shortly and will probably be at 135 sooner rather than later. It was always going to be one sided.

One thing is for sure though, no matter what weight it was at, Loma would of won.

Just watched it now without knowing the result. Very disappointed in the fight from Rigondaeux performance. I think Rigondaeux wanted out of there from the first round! Normally he can figure a style out in the first and adapt to the fight, he couldn’t do that with Lomachenko. He’s been asking for a huge fight for a while and he bottled it. Lomachenko was just to good and big for him to handle. He didn’t want any part of Lomachenko once he realised he couldn’t handle him. Fair play to Lomachenko he is a joy to watch. He’s so technically good at everything. Him and Crawford are the two best in Boxing right now.
