Boxing

Felt so sorry for Steven Ormond there tonight, that 117-110 is right up there with some of the worst cards.

Hard to see a way Hyland had won the fight never mind by a margin like that, utterly ridiculous.

I like Andy Lee but he was very bias tonight whilst commentating, about halfway through he just stopped mentioning any of the punches being landed on Burnett, the cards there were too wide as well imo.

I was at the fight there tonight and had that fight just about dead level, although it's never the most accurate when you score from the crowd. Should Ormond have won it?

I’ve got the sky & Bt cards recorded but I’ve already seen Burnetts and ormands fights , is there any fights on either card worth watching or just don’t watch & delete both ?

This card on saturday is an absolute joke, in my opinion the worst matchroom PPV on paper since Bellew Cleverly, possibly worse. I can stomach Joshua-Takam as a headliner as I do think Takam will give Joshua a fight, hes a top 10 fighter in my book and will come to win, but hes had 2 weeks notice, 'but okay' i could stomach it providing it had a great undercard (what Hearn had promised when it was made). Buglioni-Johnson and Allen-Thomas weren't of massive interest to me anyway, but they were competitive 50/50 fights, the only 2 on the bill, both pulled now due to injury/illness. Whyte-Helenius doesn't interest me at all, Whyte is an average fighter and Helenius again has had 2 weeks notice, and is damaged goods these days anyway. There isn't one fight on this card that im particularly looking forward too, the original card was a poor one anyway, depsite the pullouts etc. I know its not excatly Eddie Hearns fault if a fighter pulls out, but to sell 75k tickets and bring in probably nearly a million PPV buys, this card is absolute [Poor language removed]. Previous Joshua undercards have at least had a couple of good fights on for actual boxing fans, Groves-Murray, Eubank-Spike, Whyte-Chisora etc and not just casuals wanting to look at darling Joshua use his big sexy muscles to knock someone out.
Cheers Eddie, I look forward to your next IFL interview talking about how much a good place boxing is in and how much money you and AJ have made from this card.

I'm interested to see where callum johnson is at these days as I rated him highly as an amateur, but yeah as PPV, it's a real shocker, even if it turns into a great show it will be a bit bittersweet
