Resting McCarthy and putting Barkley in his place is hardly a massive gamble is it?

I'm not a big fan of changing a winning team around although, people have being saying all season he shouldn't play two holding midfielders at home, then when he doesn't, people criticize him for not playing a holding midfielder.

Some people here have been moaning all season that we don't need two defensive midfielders, particularly at home and to lesser teams.

Very true.

I have no idea why it happened though.
You've just answered a Man Ut'd question in another thread with this;
We play to win these days, rather than play not to lose. It's a huge change and it's ace. It doesn't always work though but it's much more enjoyable.
Occasionally it'll backfire. But mostly it won't.

I thought we'd take seven points from United City Palace. Six points still gets us fourth... huge ask though, but definitely doable.

I read earlier that Palace have the 2nd best defensive record since November? Don't know if it's true, but if so then fair play, you do not want to go behind.

the team just didn't look right with the changes without McCarthy garrath Barry was struggling in the mid that's we're the game was lost last night.ross was swamped on soon has he got the ball we needed McCarthy in the middle last night.
