....he certainly was, invariably his headers crept just inside the post which is a sign of a top goalscorer. DCL has great physicality, he’ll be phenomenal when he learns how to control headers.

He was so close to being part of something special with that team for 2 seasons 77/78...78/79.
Not signing Peter Shiton when we had the chance was our eventual downfall as we fell away in both seasons...

Got to be one of my best Everton memories is being behind the goal in the street end when he blasted that penalty in to score his 30 , I was only young then but i’m sure there was a pitch invasion that seemed to last for ages or am I remembering it through blue tinted glasses?
