There was a ruling in an Australian court that advertisers couldn't publish "whinging" poms... as it was what amounts to a racist derogatory term.

the kiwi's also give it out as much as they get it.
There is a different attitude down there though, as in 'it's just names' I worked with samoans , fijians, tongans, maori, kiwi's and the attitude was very much that if you object to petty name calling then you can't indulge in it yourself, it may well have been un p.c. and against the law as such but people would rarely object or make a complaint, all the Islanders were referred to as freshies, as in fresh of the boat, I cant remember anyone ever being offended by the term, it just gave them a free one back which they would take up immediately with gratitude +interest.
