Bitcoin is going to end poverty!!!!

I believe the concept revolves around reaching people that the existing banking system doesn't (of which there are a truck load). As a principle, that's fine and dandy, and very honourable, but to date there has been no progress made towards that goal whatsoever so it seems a huge leap of faith to make such a statement.

I saw an interesting TED talk a little while ago that touched on a similar concept. I'm sure it was talking about how apparently internet banking/paypal is massive over there as many people seem to have mobiles (let's' not go there), and have just skipped traditional banking entirely and started using their phone.

Electroneum launches today. A lot of people are predicting it's gonna be the next big thing in crypto.

Here's their facebook post from this morning.

Haha!! The whole "look at me i'm a hard man i say what i feel and do what i want" approach haha!!

No, you didn't use profanity's but you pretty much did say this only you broke it into two sentences then two posts.

Then you called @MoutsGoat goat soft and ignorant.

Either way be a d*ck all you want lets see how long you survive getting all bent out of shape because someone doesn't agree with you.

Look you were making good points but maybe not call people stupid, soft or ignorant just because you have strong feelings about something and people have an opposing view or simply put disagree with you.

Or insinuate they are a conspiracy theorist and believe anything. Still not sure where you got that from a bit mad it sounded.

Everyone gets it you love bitcoin and you will hear nothing against it which means you kind of contradict your whole "i'm open for discussion" declaration earlier. Clearly not.

Because his comments were ignorant, but hey it's fine for him to post a convoluted quip insinuating I'm a conspiracy theorist by posting an image of a guy in a tin foil hat and make fun of MY comments just because I believe cryptocurrency can help solve social issues, THAT'S FINE RIGHT, you know call me out for calling you names but it's fair game if you insinuate it with a picture ? bit hypocritical like

I never called you stupid, I called you ignorant, ignorance = lack of information which you clearly had, saying that you can lose all your Bitcoins in fire/flood/theft which I gave you examples of how wrong you were.

I'll ask you again, is it the fault of the technology if the user is inept ?

Do you blame the car or the driver if someone crashes their car into someone ?

If someone has 123 as their password on their phone and they lose it and somebody gets access to all their data, is it the phones fault or the user for using a weak password ?

All the points you raised were blaming the technology because you don't understand it when in fact the faults were in the user and like you said, they were good points I countered with so I don't understand why you're so hung up on being called ignorant, it's not an insult, it's just a fact it doesn't mean I think any less of you as a human or have anything against you it's not that I have strong feelings about Bitcoin, it's that I have strong feelings against people in general when they come out with ignorant comments.

As for me loving Bitcoin, I have no feelings for it, I just know a fair bit about it having been involved in it since before it was even $1 a coin and when I see people posting stuff like "you can lose your coins in fire/flood etc" it just pisses me off, like a lot of other things, like the fact I can't buy 100ml of vaping juice any more but I can buy 1ltr of bleach because [Poor language removed] logic and common sense in this crazy world.

And I'm well aware Bitcoin has its flaws which I'm happy to discuss, like stupidly long transaction times, fees getting more expensive (relatively) as the price increases, it supposedly being decentralised yet being left at the whims of the mining organisations who effectively control the direction in terms of updates/new tech the coin gets. Open to attack if any one person manages to control 51% of total network hash, how the whole crypto world is the modern day "wild west" full of scammers and crooks looking to rip off innocent/naive folk any chance they get.

You again, give it a rest would you.

I don't care what you have to say quite frankly.

Try defend being a d&ck all you want as Bruce said if you insult people its harder to get them to listen to you. Case in point. You continuously try to defend you're obnoxious behavior and then want to still debate with me.

No thanks i have better things to do than debate with someone who doesn't care what people have to say other than their own thoughts.

And for anyone laughing at my "Bitcoin/Blockchain can help end poverty"

Well... Forbes agrees with me, guess you should laugh at them too, what do they know...

I wasn't going to ever reply to you again, but then i saw this and this quote 1 pages back from you was no more apparent then now...

When @MoutsGoat posted an article from forbes.... This was your response

"Yeah because you base all of your financial decisions based on a single article on Forbes ? Like Forbes has never gotten anything wrong in the past"

Here is the quote:

Haha!!
