Bily is showing some class - he's back

Good lad is Bily. Love the way we've never heard even a sniff of a complaint from him about not playing even though he'd probably be justified. He seems to really love being here, now let's hope he gets a chance to show us what he's got. GET DICKOV ON.

THIS.

Most players would be having a strop in the news papers. He's just gotten on with it.

If only every player was like this. Alas sadly not these days.

Plus he's got a great peg on him.

I also think Moyes' comment was long term (remember he's pressuring the board for signings). I think he see's Billy as a AM who is hanging around the edge of the area with his peg.

My view is that his form is patchy and he wouldn't be in my first eleven. Think he has not settled that well into life with us. The time between now and may is crucial for him or he will go and that's regardless of his professionalism in getting on with it.

Sorry just my view, I'm not a bily fan I'm afraid

He's scored about 1 in 7 for us despite rarely starting and not getting on until late in the game. That's the same ratio as Krancjar for Spurs. He provided two assists on his debut, playing on the left. He's often seen as being languid, but recently he's shown a real hunger to impress and has been tracking back much more, winning the ball and setting up attacks. It generally takes foreign players 18 months to settle into life in England. Given all that, he's done fantastically for us and fully deserves his chance.

I'd start him . Just for the reason that he will bloody SHOOT !!. Given time , he might step up to Pienaars role and give us a good left-side again. I know he isn't a winger , but he can put in a decent cross ( as well as Baines on the left ). Maybe give him a few set-pieces , too. . Now could be the time to show us if he really is the decent player we think he is, or if he's the next McFadden

A true pro who has gotten on with it without complaining. Time for Moyes to repay him and give him a run in the squad.

I appreciate the analysis! My key questions is those stats by position - do we have those? It seems like he's most suited for the center is the problem - you mention his benefits for the job out left, but not sure if he has the movement and speed to play out left. He can shoot - your stats show it, but wondering if he can link up with Baines and provide the creative outlet that was Peanuts on the left. In the center, the answer is apparently a big fat yes according to your stats.

Even Bainsy is hinting at Moyes to give Billy a run in the side on the left!

“There’s a lot of options. Victor played out there against Liverpool, and did really well in the second half, Bily has been doing well for us lately when he’s been given the opportunity and I’m sure he’s been relishing the opportunity to get a run in the side.

“He’ll be looking at it now and really wanting to have a good go from now until the end of the season.

People complain about Bily not being a winger, but Pienaar would always come inside. Not being able to beat a man has never hindered Beckham or Bentley either. I'm sure he's capable of being a supply line to the forwards in a way that Peanuts never was. He's exceptionally good with either foot and could contribute atleast twice as many goals as the little South African.

Pienaar was constantly involved and would take the ball anywhere, under pressure or not. That has been one of Bilyaletdinov's major problems really, he has the attributes of a playmaker, but plays like a winger, drifting in and out of the game, and doesn't make an impact anywhere near as much as he should. You see him standing behind an opposition player when Baines is looking to start an attack and it's very frustrating. Comparing him to players like Beckham and Sheedy is ridiculous when his delivery is nowhere near that standard. He was took off set pieces for a reason. Don't get me wrong, he's got a good left foot, but not at that level.

He's shown he can shoot, score and get into some good positions, but as a wide player, looking at his all round contribution, he's been a major letdown really. He doesn't get involved enough and everything is hurried and rushed in possession. That being said, he's looked a little better in his cameo's of late. Seems to be getting the ball out of his feet more quickly and looking to get involved more, hopefully he can build on it.

Id like to see him on Freekicks.

And with regards to his position im happy him playing on the left, right or centre. Id prefer Bily in the Cahill role really, because thats a role where pace and getting back isnt as important, and he can hang on the edge of the box and shoot.

On the right, he can cut in and score, which is always good, and on the left, well thats where he has played his entire career, he has a good cross and some skill, given a chance he can do a job, and a better job than any other player on the pitch

Drop Arteta for Bily!!Like thats going to happen.Would love to see it though play him behind the stiker(s). I love the Spaniard but he need dropping .

Personally i thought Arteta was one of the better players of the west ham match, i think dropping him would just make it worse to be honest, he needs a goal.
