Diniyar Bilyaletdinov Lifts Lid On Everton Switch - Goal.com
I know it's goal.com but this seems to be promising
Says he likes to come inside, like Pienaar does, which should create space for the full back
Sounds, actually, just what we needed to suit our system.
The Russian import confirms his best position...
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, who cites former Evertonian Andrei Kanchelskis as a personal hero, has already sported the colours of the Toffees - albeit in a cameo appearance - and the Russian recruit, imported from Lokomotiv Moscow, has spoken about his preferred position.
Furthermore, the fully-capped international, who has been granted the no.7 shirt, spoke of how he will settle into Goodison Park life in a swift manner due to his familiarity with a clutch of first-team Merseyside men.
"We have two games with the national team, in Moscow then in Cardiff, so that's only four hours away," Bilyaletdinov explained to EvertonTV.
"It's a very big training ground and it's very good. The swimming pool, the gym, they are very good and they can help to get good results."
Regarding the players he is already on good terms with, Diniyar said, "I know Jo from playing for CSKA and I also know (Steven) Pienaar, (Mikel) Arteta, (Tim) Howard, Phil Neville and (Marouane) Fellaini - he's a big guy!"
As to his preferred position, Bilyaletdinov added, "My position is left-sided but not as a winger, I come inside then go outside.
"Last year I played on the right - I prefer the left but it's not a problem, from the right I can cut in and shoot more than from the left."
