Just read that Billy Sharp is playing tonight. Nothing unusual in that, but the poor lad lost his 2 day year old son recently.

Thoughts are with you and your family. Tragic.

Went to a Sheff Utd game a few years back and it was his 1st game after re-signing for them, they sang his name for almost the full 90 mins, he had a stormer as well.

Awful news though, and as has been said our thoughts are with you and the rest of your family.

Myself included like. Saw everyone writing FB status's like that and followed suit, but when I really thought about it, it's absolute bull****. This has nothing to do with how much each player earns (which is what the default status going around was about, and £10,000 a week is still ridiculous money) but about the bravery of a father who out of love for his son, love for the game, and respect for his club played on in the most difficult of circumstances and scored an outstanding goal in memory of his little one.

I hate stuff like that. Bored people on twitter decide to try and run something on someone's behalf as "its the right thing to do". Who decides that? It's a bit mawkish without knowing the wants of the parents.
