Bill Kenwright

I mean, I posted that two months ago and yes, he's still dead and now buried. Has Everton improved ? In any way?

Kenwright is finally gone but the club hasn't got any better. Do you really think it will?

Yes he sold to a complete charleton but are you going to blame Moshiri for 777's eventual catastrophies ?

Kenwright was a disaster for Everton but he's not the one who's destroyed us. Moshiri is that man and I'll never ever think any different.

It's really weird the way people still come on here and try to give him some sort of pass and blame the corpse.

Kenwright is the reason why Moshiri is here in the first place. How many times do the likes of yourself need to be told that?

He sold the club to Moshiri because he was the only idiot who was happy enough with keeping him on as chairman.

Yes I know that.

Does that mean he's completely to blame for Moshiri's reign of terror?

Are you going to blame Moshiri for 777 being terrible owners?
Comes with the territory and Kenwright was Chairman and Self Styled Chief Negotiator during the Moshri reign. Moshri did pump money in. Kenwright oversaw the mismanagement of that money. Moshri didn’t fire him for his mismanagement.

The pair of them threw us in the abyss

Why are you still so determined to split Moshiri and Kenwright up and have them on opposing sides? They never were, you’re allowed to hate and blame them both equally, as I do.

He only sold the club to Moshiri because he was the only person, who was stupid enough to keep him on as chairman.

I just added that bit to the original post you quoted.
I think no one denies that he loved the club and wanted us to have consistent success, but he was more than incapable of being involved in a board role, at least for the 2nd decade he led the club. A perfect example of someone that having the best intentions isn't the best to happen for a club. 10 years later it's so frustrating to see where we are now and what could have been if we had made the right decisions back then and avoided a lot of the complacency, which both of them are big parts of and this will need years to recover, as there are very few hopeful things to look forward to in the near future.

I despise him Mike. It's unhealthy to be honest.

You are probably right and I KNOW they are both at fault - anyone thinking I'm some sort of Kenwright luvvie needs heads wobbled because I'm not.

Just in the grand scheme of things, for me - it's Moshiri who's the [Poor language removed] who's destroyed this club. Not letting Kenwright off the hook, but without Moshiri we wouldn't be in this mess now.

Yes. Loved the club just couldn’t run it any better than I could. Should have been made (made himself?) life president 10 years ago and let go

Kenwright could’ve saved a shred of credibility by resigning when Moshiri took over, or when Benitez was appointed. But of course his ego was far too monumental to ever consider that. He just couldn’t wait to cut the ribbon at the new stadium and put that down as his legacy, and was happy to sit by and watch the club burn around him to get there. He was deprived of that opportunity, what a shame, so sad.

I agree.

I've said a few times on here he should have gone.

Your right, he wanted to cut the ribbon and have a stand named after him.

He just couldn't let it go.
