I think a lot of people thought it was a vote for biggest bellend, seeing Shearer and Vinnie Jones there. Neither were hardmen. Vinnie Jones especially was just a nasty piece of work.

Dunc on the other hand was a gent, he just didn't take sh*t. From burglars, referees or kopites.

He deserves more than just to be known as a hardman. I saw Vernon, Young, Royle, Latchford, Sharp, Lineker and Gray, all great players, but only the Golden Vision himself got the emotions of the fans to the level that Duncan did. Maybe not our greatest goalscorer but a legend without a doubt..

A legend in my eyes too mate. Sometimes not always about talent and skill, it's about legacy.
 
dunc was a legend ! only time a players brought
a tear to my eye, [that i can think of ] remember that day full on was gutted
well deserved that , always remember the header against manu
nearly killed meeself, jumped over about 5 peoples heads
