2024/25 Beto

Id keep Beto since he is on contract. More dependable available.

But here's my proposed DCL contract.
NPGs = non penalty goals
25k a week base
35k after 3 NPGs
45k after 6 NPGs
60k after 9 NPGs
80k after 11 NPGs
100k after 13 NPGs
150k after 15 NPGs
Sounds realistic

He wouldn’t be starting for any of the top 10 and would probably only make the bench for one or two of them
That’s the standards we should have as a fan base moving forward , not keeping poor players, because they try and care what the F is all that about.

Well, we're not in the top 10 and he'll probably make the bench for us next season if/when we hopefully challenge for top 10.

I think it makes sense keeping Beto next season. If he plays every game with some support around him i think he gets 12 - 15 goals or so. We need midfield and wingers chipping in too.

I really hope we swerve Gnonto

In just the Premier League Beto has played 14.03 games worth in minutes and scored 7.

No way we should selling a 1 in 2 striker when our team really struggles to score. I don't care if we're spending big on a striker, there's no guarantee any player we buy will score in the Premier League.

I get people saying about his poor first touch but our defence is still champions league standard despite him losing the ball easily, so I think that negates the issue. Beto ain't pretty to watch but he scores. He should at worst be kept as backup.

How many goals does he cost us?? 4 , 5 or maybe 6 IE Chelsea. He’s not good enough at holding the ball up and bringing his teammates into the game and make the correct decisions in the final 3rd.

While I'm no fan of the guy, I actually think it makes much more sense to keep him rather than DCL (if choosing between the two is the option).

He's signed for two more years so there is no further capital needed to keep him, and no need to extend his contract this summer.

DCL you're probably paying a fee to sign him plus offering him a 4-5 year contract.

Between the two, Beto's best ability in his availability.

You can only hope that another striker is purchased that puts him on the bench to start most matches.

I don't think he's sold unless somehow it's for a decent profit.

Very small sample size,
So
You’d back him to get 19 next season ?

errr .. well i guess it's about trying and caring and the fact that not all do.

we're quick to call it out when they don't so it follows we might support them when they do.

meantimes apparently poor players with the potential to be better can improve. is he one of them is the question?

Beto would get us near to 15 goals next season if he plays as our main striker.

Makes sense to keep him
Pure guess work on a small sample size and how does his all round poor game help us ?? Moving forward. Anyone wanting Beto to be our starting number 9 next season, have zero ambition
