Best/Worst comedians!

Worst:

Ellen De-fookin-Generes

How the hell did that 'woman' EVER get employ as a comedian? Beggars belief.

Best: Bill Hicks, (dare I say it?) = Ken Dodd!
Worst: Michael McIntyre, Russell Howard, John Bishop.

Comedy for people that turn on BBC2 at night and decide to find it funny.

Best: Rob Brydon, Steve Coogan, Bill Hicks, Steven Wright, Mark Thomas.

Worst: John Bishop (because he's just so obviously toe-curlingly unfunny), Billy Connolly (how anyone can still laugh at what this washed up turd has to say after the Ken Bigley affair I dont know).

Hate Ross Noble, dont really like Frankie Boyle as a stand up (though mock the week he is great), and hate all women comedians - other than one.

Cant really name all the comedians i like, but here are the ones who are my favourite:

Likes: Dara obriain, Jimmy Carr, Rob Brydon, Jo Brand and Mark Watson

Mark Watson probably my favourite, but he hasnt really hit it big yet :/

Watson is a great shout, been going for years and a genuinely funny guy.

Out of the current crop I like Doug Stanhope and Dave Chapelle.

Bill Hicks, George Carlin and Richard Pryor will always stand out, different class really.

Saw Billy Conolly live a couple years ago over here, he has a few baggers going around but personally was the best money I've ever spent on a show, went for 3 hours by himself and was brilliant.

Went in Christchurch (westpac arena just after it opened), the mrs boss paid for the whole factory to go and partners, couple of jars and a big ice cream at the intermission.

YIN spends a lot of time in Diamond Harbour as his mate lives there apparently.

Hate.... Tarby, Boardman, Bishop and any others of that persuasion.

Funny... that aussie that goes on Mock the Week, Milton jones.

Best: Chris Rock - I think he's the best ever by far.

Other good ones: Daniel Tosh, Bill Mayer, Hicks, Schemille, David Spade, Robert Wahl, Don Rickels, Gilbert Godfried, and Howard Stern (if he counts)

Worst: Gallagher - the man has no peers. This topic should be the worst comedian not named Gallagher.

Can't decide about: Carlin - his is older stuff is really funny but he turned into one of those "I'm really going to say something shocking now" comics late in his career. When you pretty much do that you are a) not shocking b )just annoying and not funny

What did Billy Connolly say about Ken Bigley? Although I absolutly love it when comedians are as evil, as un PC and as controversial as possible. Why I like Frankie Boyle. He doesnt give a ****! Also you should check out this guy Ari Shaffir. Oh my god he's hilarious. He's the guy that does 'The Amazing Racist' videos for those that have seen him. He takes the piss out of EVERYONE which is how the world should be. Also check out him taking down a heckler. Brilliant.

You hate Ross Noble... but you like Jo Brand? Weird, really. Jo Brand is the female equivalent of Jack Dee, except with 1/10th as much material... and crap material at that.

Louis CK. Trust me.

Mentioned him earlier. He is quality. A great, offensive, ballsy standup and he also has his own TV show, a bit like Curb, simply called "Louie" which is ace as well.

Ross Noble is my favourite. Seen him a few times live, always absolutely brilliant.

Love him. He's a genuinely funny man because half his stuff is improvised, which is something I dig. (y)

Worst: Michael McIntyre, Russell Howard, John Bishop.

I could kiss you, mate. Hammer meet nail.

Deffo Doug Stanhope.

Doug Stanhope is good, in small doses. But yes, Hicks, Carlin and Pryor are true legends.

Best: Tim Minchin and Charlie Brooker.

Worst: John Bishop.

Love Brooker and Tim Minchin's good too. At first I thought he was a bad Bill Bailey rip off (similar weird hair and musical element!) but he's really quite funny, and I wish more comedians would incorporate music!

Best: Reginald D Hunter, Sean Loch, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Rich Hall.
Worst: Miranda, Dave Spikey, Lee Mack, Lee Evans.

Nice. Reginald D Hunter is good, Sean Loch is decent, Gervais is good (a bad film actor, but a great comedy writer; both TV and his early stand up), Stephen Merchant is severely underrated as an actor and underappreciated as a writer, Rich Hall is awesome as well.

Dave Spikey is tired, Lee Mack is annoying, Lee Evans is even more annoying... and I really just don't like female comedians. They usually play on the fact that they're female comedians far too much. That said, that Geordie one (Sarah something?) is okay from what I've seen... still not great though. It's a shame, because some of the funniest people I know in real life are women, but men lead the pack in comedy.

Least funny woman in comedy is that Shappi Korsdani. Sarah Millican is very funny actually, probably the first female stand up that genuinely makes me laugh.
