Out of the current crop I like Doug Stanhope and Dave Chapelle.

Bill Hicks, George Carlin and Richard Pryor will always stand out, different class really.

Stewart Lee remains my all time fave stand up, to the surprise of no-one at all I'd guess. I'm pretty much exactly the kind of person his stuff is aimed at.

Dylan Moran is much underrated as a stand up, and I quite like Stewart Francis.

This I don't doubt. My cousin saw her in Chester last week, trying out new material. He said she was literally marking herself on stage for good jokes, ok jokes and bad jokes.

I'll echo the Dara O'Brian and Louis CK shouts. I love Dara's stand up and Louis CK is one talented guy. His TV show is incredibly good and his stand up is quite anomalous as most American comedians at the moment only hold up on one side of the Atlantic. But I know loads of people who love him here and he's doing very well for himself in his homeland too.
