There's a difference

Baines was a legendary left back

James pops up across the whole pitch and produces magic with his left foot

He is WORLD class

Not that I think it will happen but if James goes off the boil today or gets injured or decides Barcelona is the club for him etc. then he can't be compared to the others.

Let's see what he does over this whole season and then perhaps decide.

I get your point. I'm not asking who's the best for Everton in terms of legendary status - just a kind of dance off between the left wands.

Agree - both excellent and arguably could be included. But as good as these listed? I'm skimming off the cream here.

Full disclosure- Sheedy is my god (and Reid for other reasons) - but I am having doubts and turn to jelly watching Hamez pass the ball. Its like I'm a kid again.

Sheeds did amazing things with his wand of a left foot. Free kicks against Ipswich, 3rd goal in Rotterdam, the list is endless. Let's hope Himmy can achieve as much in an Everton shirt.
