Basil Fawlty

Player Valuation: £35m
I'm going halves on a laptop with my other half on new years day and we've got about £350 to spend on one. Anyone know what the best out there is for that price. Looking for 3-4gb RAM. Dual core processor and a decent sized hard drive. Mainly for poker, kids homework etc, missus Facebook etc. Cheers in advance.

Clearly i'm not a PC user, but a friend of mine who is and so far wont be swayed, was telling me a few weeks ago that Dell's build quality is shocking. He had a lappy off them and it basically fell apart, I can't remember exactly what he said at the time. He was harping on about another company he purchased from and the build quality being better, i'm not sure if it was samsung, I could be totally wrong. I was too busy ignoring him at the time

Anyway, have a read about on the forums and find out which company has a good/ decent build quality. After all you do want these things to last

For that price though, wouldn't you be better off with one of those netbook things?

Some great advice there Mac-man.

All about 'the look' with your crowd isn't it.
