Good thread idea, one for the older generation. Unfortunately our memory isn't so good these days, I'll have to have a good think.
Haven't looked it up personally but from what I can remember his first goal was Wrexham away in the cup

I was at that away game at Fulham. Second half goal, around the 65th minute. In those days the away end at Fulham was not behind one of the goals, but the open-to-the-elements terracing that backed onto the Thames.
