In all seriousness….Cape Town is hands down the maddest and best city I’ve ever been.

Holidaying v residing is completely different.
Southport is the clear winner.

Why is Kyoto so good chaps?

It's an extremely beautiful, clean city that isn't too big and has superb weather in the summer with a wonderful cherry blossom season. Its infrastructure is very good, and affordable dining and entertainment can easily be found.

This is a very important thing that must not be overlooked. As an example, I absolutely love visiting New York, yet would hate to live there. I guess it doesn't work if you flip that round the other way: I hate visiting Southport, and so definitely wouldn't want to live there.

Glasgow for people, Edinburgh though is levels above. A truly wonderful city and one we’re lucky to have only a drive away for most.
